Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data the HINT mobile app processes, why and how, and your rights under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).
Data controller

Data we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in codes), your invite code and who invited you.
- Profile: your name, age (date of birth), gender, who you want to meet, what you're looking for, languages, your hints and optional "about" details (height, education, habits, kids, interests, job, etc.).
- Photos and voice: your portrait and extra photos (only a blurred version shows until the seal is broken), your "object that means something" photo, your profile voice note.
- Location: the nearest neighbourhood is worked out on your device from your phone's location; only the neighbourhood ID and the coordinates of its centre reach our servers. Your exact location is never sent anywhere. We also store your distance preference.
- Chats: your messages, voice messages, photos you send in chats, game answers, read time ("Seen") and seal decisions.
- Door application and verification: the name, age, gender, "Who are you?" answer, photo and two face-scan shots in your application. Only the club team (moderators) sees these; they are never shown to members.
- Interactions: your answers to tonight's question, your "note to the club" answers (never shown to the other person), profiles you passed or blocked, screenshot notices.
- Safety and moderation: reports and what you write in them, your conversations with the club team, warnings, decisions, and a report reliability score visible only to the club team.
- Technical: a device address for push notifications (push token); if you send feedback, its text, screenshots and device type.
Why we process it
- To provide the service: profiles, tonight's list, compatibility and distance, chat and notifications.
- Safety: reviewing applications, preventing fake profiles and abuse, reviewing reports from both sides, blocking contact-detail sharing before the seal.
- Improving the app: reviewing feedback.
- Meeting legal obligations.
Legal bases
- Performance of a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c): providing your account and the service.
- Legitimate interest (art. 5/2-f): safety, moderation, preventing abuse.
- Legal obligation (art. 5/2-ç).
- Explicit consent (art. 6): information such as who you want to meet may count as special-category data about sexual life; it is processed only with the explicit consent you give at sign-up. You can withdraw consent at any time; your account will then be closed.
Who we share it with
- We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
- Infrastructure providers that run the service: Supabase (database and file storage; servers in the European Union, Germany), Expo (app infrastructure and push notifications), Brevo (email delivery). They process data only on our behalf and instructions.
- Lawful requests from competent authorities.
- Some providers are abroad; transfers abroad follow the conditions of KVKK art. 9. [Transfer basis to be confirmed with a lawyer.]
What other members see
- Your name, age, neighbourhood and rounded distance, hints, "about" details, blurred portrait and your answer to tonight's question.
- Your real photos open only when you both break the seal. Your job also shows only after the seal.
- If you moved your location by hand, your profile shows "Travelling".
- Your reports, note-to-the-club answers, report score and door application are never shown to members.
How long we keep it
- For as long as your account is open.
- When you delete your account in the app, your profile, photos, hints and chats are permanently deleted.
- Some safety records may be kept as long as necessary to prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. [Periods to be confirmed with a lawyer.]
Your rights (KVKK art. 11)
You can ask whether your data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, object, and claim compensation for damage. Write to destek@raumlogic.com; we reply within 30 days at the latest.
Age limit
HINT is only for people aged 18 and over. Accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections; access is restricted by row-level security rules that are checked by regular automated tests. No system is risk-free; in case of a breach we notify as KVKK requires.
Changes
When we update this policy we change the date and announce important changes in the app.
